Jacob Harris Miller has been a music fan since a young age while growing up in Weston, Florida. This hip-hop artist started writing his own music and posting videos to YouTube when he was a freshman in high school. He got his first gig being the opening act for Snoop Dogg in 2011. He also won a “Kick it With the Band” talent competition which opened up the door for him.

He released his first EP album in 2012 called Spotlight. This album included a song called “What I Wouldn’t Give,” that made it into the Top 20 on 20 on Sirius XM Radio. He released music videos for most of his songs off of this album.

Miller’s second EP, Road Less Traveled, was released in April 2013. This album features a song called “A Million Lives,” which is a very inspirational and fascinating song. Jake tells the story of three kids who reached out to him through tough times in their lives. They told him that his music helped them through those times. This song hit #1 on the ITunes Hip-Hop Chart.

After Miller released his EP’s, he started working on his first album. He really wanted to put more of himself into this album and show his fans that he speaks from the heart. Miller wanted to give his listeners something relatable, but something enjoyable.

Jake Miller’s first album, Us Against Them, debuted on November 5th, 2013. It featured a variety of different songs. He had upbeat love songs like “Collide” and “Me and You to slow love songs like “Homeless.” One very specifically detailed song called, “Puppet” describes how Miller’s label and agent were getting on him and in other words he felt like he was a puppet. If this album is not real enough for you, I don’t know what is.

Miller was recently signed to Warner Bros Records.

Miller never seems to disappoint. When you attend one of his concerts, you feel like you’re at a party. He always has his fans jumping around and waving their hands in the air along to his songs. You won’t regret attending one of his concerts.

Miller’s songs give so many people confidence and inspires them. He’s not just your average rapper who throws random words into a song. Instead, he’s a rapper who is trying to get a message across and tell a story. He gives 100 percent all day, every day.

Not only is he a talented singer, he has got to be the nicest artist/rising star out there. Miller is trying to never let fame go to his head and that has shown very much so through his actions. On Twitter, he follows more than a fifth of his fans that are following him. He has regular follow sprees, where he picks random fans to follow, if you tweet him a picture or ask him a question, he might answer you or retweet the picture back. Also, after every concert he tells his fans to meet him outside by his tour bus and he meets every single one of his fans. How cool is that? I cannot think of a single artist who does that or who is more involved with his fans then Jake Miller is.

He recently said, “It’s really easy to get caught up in this sometimes, but I’m really appreciative that I get to do what I love every single day. Make great music, tour the country with my best friends and at the same time change people’s lives and make people happy.”

I promise you won’t regret listening to Jake Miller.
